Streamlining, strengthening and formulating processes and strategies on using technologies

Having professional experience spanning over 38 years, Mr. Chandran (fondly called as Chandy) plays the key role of BCT’s CIO (Chief Information Officer) and CDO ( Chief Delivery Officer) working towards streamlining, strengthening and formulating processes and strategies on using technologies for information availability and accessibility.

Dr. Chandran is a Mechanical Engineer (Hons) from College of Engineering Guindy , India, (1982) and has done his Masters in Industrial Engineering from National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai, India ( 1984).

Dr. Chandran has overall experience of 38+ years in IT. He has spent 23+ years in building Enterprise Applications Services Practice across organizations. He headed the Enterprise SAP Practice of Satyam and built Zensar’ss Enterprise Practice across Oracle, SAP, BI/DW areas. Mr. Chandran has been instrumental in setting up and managing IT department in end user organizations, building Enterprise Applications Services Practices, Business Leader for Asia Pacific, Establishing Systems & Procedures, Managing Pre-sales and Delivery Centre. He has handled multiple end-to-end implementations of large scale ERP projects.

Prior to joining BCT, Dr. Chandran was the CIO for Greenfield Automotive site Daimler India establishing systems for the entire manufacturing organization and Business Applications like Order-to-supply (SAP Logistics & Operations), SAP Financial System, Manufacturing Engineering and Global R&D Applications support. He has also worked with Satyam Computers , Zensar , HCL Hewlett-Packard, Hero Motors and Hindustan Petroleum.

Projects

1. ‘Goal Programming in Materials Management” published in International Journal of Production Economics Considering the entire gamut of Materials Management as one system, each of the final requirements is considered as goals. Goal Programming algorithm was used to ascertain the priority of goals at various situations.

2. Project on System analysis of Finished Goods Inventory at MICO (A subsidiary of MICO Bosch, Germany), Bangalore Conducting an Information System Study of Finished Goods Inventory processes handled at MICO, and charting out Data Flow Diagrams for the various processes involved. The System study was used to develop the Finished Goods Inventory System Programming at MICO.
