Marigolds were everywhere—woven into garlands, strewn on doorsteps
Three years ago, Marigold Stories was just a quiet dream blooming on my sketchpad—a blend of tradition, storytelling, and a deep love for art. As a painter at heart and a designer by choice, I found myself constantly drawn to the charm of Indian weddings—not just the colours and rituals, but the beautiful personal stories hidden in every celebration. I wanted to create invitations that weren’t just announcements, but heirlooms of emotion, culture, and memory.
The name Marigold Stories came to me quite naturally. Growing up in Uttarakhand, marigolds were everywhere—woven into garlands, strewn on doorsteps, present in every celebration. They stood for joy, warmth, and togetherness. That’s exactly what I wanted my invitations to feel like: vibrant, rooted, and personal.
Over these three years, I’ve gone from designing for close friends to crafting bespoke invitations for over a hundred clients across the globe. More than half of them found me not through ads, but through the heartfelt words of others who had trusted me with their special moments. Every client, every wedding, and every family I’ve worked with has shaped Marigold Stories into what it is today—a brand built on connection, culture, and care.
From hand-illustrating pahadi wedding processions to animated reels full of nostalgia, the journey has been one of learning, evolving, and staying inspired. And as Marigold Stories continues to grow, my mission remains the same: to honour every couple’s journey with art that speaks from the heart.
