Some stories don’t begin with opportunities. They begin with hustle

While most children were busy playing, I was working. In 3rd standard, I earned ₹5 a day at a local hardware shop—unaware that I was getting my first lesson in business and customer handling. I sold kites, picked and sold erukam poo during Vinayagar Chathurthi, and did whatever I could to earn and learn.

Responsibility found me early. In 11th and 12th, I juggled studies with a job at Dinamalar newspaper. It wasn’t easy waking up early, delivering papers, and still making it to class—but I did it, without complaint. College life didn’t ease the pressure. After classes, I worked evenings at a courier service and during semester breaks, I labored as a Mazdoor on construction sites. I didn’t just want to build buildings—I wanted to understand how they stand.

There was never a moment in life when I wasn’t working. And that’s something I take pride in.

The Foodiee: A Dream Against All Odds

In 2018, I took a leap of faith and launched my first startup, The Foodiee. I had no tech background, no funding, no roadmap—just a burning desire to build something of my own.

I opened a small office, hired my first team, and started chasing a big dream. The early days were full of struggles—sleepless nights, unstable income, and endless doubts. But I was lucky to have friends like Sathish, Balaji, and our tech wizard Raghu who stood by me.

we built The Foodiee app from scratch. Between 2018 and 2021, we grew fast—partnering with 200+ restaurants and delivering food across the city. But behind the growth were the silent battles: no savings, increasing debts, 18-hour workdays, and the stress of running a startup while balancing family and other jobs.

By 2021, I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life—to pause The Foodiee. Not because I failed, but because I needed to breathe, rebuild, and rethink. With no investors or mentors, I had only one thing: faith.

Aerani Construction: Rebuilding from the Ground Up

The past two years have been about resetting and rebuilding. I focused on my core strength—construction. That’s when Aerani Construction began to take shape.

I’m proud to say that we are currently handling 4+ active projects in and around Chennai, delivering quality homes and experiences to our clients. Our work is not just about concrete and bricks—it’s about building trust, transparency, and lasting value.

We’re also introducing a bold new model: CAAS – Construction As A Service. This startup concept is designed to solve key problems in the home construction industry, making the entire process simpler, more accountable, and customer-focused. We’re not just constructing buildings—we’re redefining how people experience construction.

We are now planning to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the construction process—to bring data-driven decision-making, predictive planning, smarter resource allocation, and intelligent project tracking to every site. From automating material estimation to forecasting project timelines and analyzing risks, AI will be at the core of our next phase.

Construction is changing—and Aerani is preparing to be at the forefront of that transformation.
